BOUNDARIES COMMISSION REPORT ON DEMERGER PROPOSAL
FOR SNOWY VALLEYS COUNCIL
I welcome the news today that the Boundaries Commission has completed its examination of the elector-initiated proposal to demerge Snowy Valleys Council.
It has taken a long time to get to this point, and it is important now to remove further uncertainty by having the findings released and the timely response of the Minister. As such, I have written today to the Minister for Local Government requesting that the Report be made available to the public.
I wish to acknowledge the work of the Commission, and importantly, to each member of the community who has contributed to this process.
