MELROSE PARK TO BE UPGRADED

Melrose Football Club and AlburyCity to receive a total of $115,900

Member for Albury Justin Clancy has congratulated Melrose Football Club and AlburyCity for being recipients of this year’s ClubGrants Category 3 Fund. Mr. Clancy said that the club and AlburyCity will receive a total of $115,900 from the fund. “The funding will contribute to a Melrose Football Club and AlburyCity project to install three lighting towers at Melrose Park. The new lighting will meet Australian Standards for sporting grounds and ensure safe night-time competitions, training and events can be run at the park. “I am pleased that Melrose Football Club will receive this funding. Like many of our sporting clubs, they are a group of hard working volunteers who are passionate about sport in our community. “This funding will help Melrose Football Club to continue this great work and provide a safer environment,” Mr. Clancy said. The NSW Government offers grants to communities across NSW to support the building, renovation and fit-out of infrastructure. Funding is available for arts and cultural infrastructure, sport and recreation infrastructure and projects that assist communities with essential infrastructure and disaster readiness. Infrastructure Grants are made possible through the NSW Government’s Clubgrants Category 3 Fund, which reinvests a contribution from the state’s registered clubs. Media: Justin Clancy 6021 3042
