Today I raised in Parliament the need for a new Multi-purpose service (MPS) which combines hospital and aged care for Urana.
This has been part of an ongoing campaign – visiting Urana MPS to meet with staff and having held several meetings with Murrumbidgee Local Health District, Federation Council and the NSW Ministry of Health over the course of the year.
In one previous meeting the Deputy Secretary for Regional Health indicated a willingness to visit our community, and I appreciated being able to confirm this again with him today.
And it was good to catch up with former Federation Council Mayor Pat Bourke over the weekend as we continue to advocate for this vital service for Urana.
